On the winding road that connects Oaş Land with the county of Maramureş, right on the border between the two counties, the Huta Mountain Pass becomes the yearly host of one of the oldest customs in the country: The Shepherds’ Spring Gathering.

It is the largest country festival related to the traditional shepherd’s occupation, celebrated annually on the first Sunday of May. The Shepherds’ Spring Gathering marks both the beginning of the pastoral season in these northern lands and the arrival of spring, a great opportunity for a beautiful country festival.
